start-ups have already submitted applications to become residents of the HSE{Pro} business incubator. Applications are being accepted until October 4.
Priority for resident status will be given to projects focusing on online education and educational technologies, hardware support, wearable electronics, robotics, the Internet of Things, media communications, financial technologies and payment systems, and big data.
The best start-ups will be able to develop their projects within three months: overcoming fears, building competencies, and eliminating weaknesses under the guidance of mentors and international experts. Residents will have the opportunity to conduct market and consumer research and bring their projects to scalable sales.
The programme will begin on October 21.

HSE Student Develops Platform for Online Physical Training
A student of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science and a team of like-minded people have created Fora.Vision, a startup platform for conducting remote physical training lessons in schools and universities. The computer vision-based system automatically counts the number of completed exercises and displays students’ progress in the teacher's personal account.
Applications Now Open for Winter HSE Startup Cup 2022
The HSE University Business Incubator has started accepting applications for the HSE Startup Cup. The competition, which is being held for the fourth time, has become a large-scale event for the best student startups from all of the university’s campuses. Participants of the competition have the opportunity to launch a startup and receive financing for their projects.
16 HSE University Students Win Student Start-Up Competition
The results of the first round of the Student Start-Up Competition were announced on July 5. The expert jury selected 650 winners from 2,300 submissions. Among the winners were 16 HSE University students, who will each receive 1 million roubles to develop their business projects.

The HSE Business Incubator took 1st place in the 2019-2020 UBI Global World Ranking of University-Linked Business Accelerators. An awards ceremony for the top ranked institutions was held at the World Incubation Summit in Doha, Qatar on November 6.

On June 24 – 28, HSE University – St. Petersburg hosted the International University Startups & Spin-Offs Festival (HSE Fest), which brings together students from across the world to pitch their startups for a one-time chance to win grants that will help them take their projects to the next level.
International Teams to Compete at HSE SPb Startup Festival
