school-age students have already registered for the 'Vyshaya Proba' Olympiad. Registration will end on December 8. 

Many people have registered to participate not only in one subject at the Olympiad, but in several, so the total number of registrations has already exceeded 70,000.

The 'Vyshaya Proba' Olympiad gives future graduates the chance to enroll in the Higher School of Economics in one of the places allotted to recipients of state funding that covers tuition and fees. Students in grades 9-11 can participate in 16 subjects, 8th grade students in six subjects, and 7th grade students in four subjects (winners in non-graduating grades can take part directly in the final round of next year’s Olympiad).

A qualifying round of the Olympiad will be held from December 13 to 28, with the final round taking place from February 12 to 18.
